She ate part of a black crayon… this really soft kind that is made for dry erase surfaces. Her (2?!) molars look like cavity central.
the latest Nora-nunciations:
Nina (my mom) - “Nonni”, as in the biscotti if anyone outside the Broadways knows that reference
Barney (the purple dinosoar) - “Bobby”, she gets SO excited. And I tried SO hard to find other shows, none compare the excitement of Bobby
Blueberries - “Boobies”, this of course is our favorite. No she isn’t being nursed anymore, but she still asks for boobies :)
Bubbles - “bubbas”
Swing - “sing”
Book - “boogie” (my fault for adding the y sound to everything)
Shoes - “zhous

A week full of good things. We began the week waiting for Elodie to arrive, to our sister Megan, and she made her arrival the evening of Tuesday the 19th. It was so sweet to meet her, she had a head full of light blonde hair. I’ve never seen so much blonde hair on a baby before. Nora’s reaching new milestones at 16 months. We’re really working on gentleness, especially with babies.

Nora’s really into climbing and crawling, figuring out how to eat with a fork, and finally is getting more into reading books.

And I turned 24 last week. Had a great day with my parents in town for the morning, and a surprise night out with Matt (thanks to Buddy and Johanna!) Still feels like I’m much older than I am. When do you start to feel younger than you are? Maybe that happens when you don’t start making babies so early :)
It was precious to watch her pet it until she picked it up by the beak, scaring me probably a little more than the chick. When she let go we all laughed hard and nervously and Nora tried not to cry, not sure why we all were so upset! We had a great weekend celebrating with Nat Nat (my sister Natalie) as she graduated from high school.
Summary of the latest here!
I remember the first time I saw signs for fuquay-varina after moving to NC State… the name was so weird to me then! Well I finally got to go visit the town, and it’s so cute and homey. My friend/manager Kathryn had a graduation party at her home. Pictured below are the “Creative Team” ladies. Leslie, Monique, Kathryn, Traci and me (is that grammar correct, Mom?) I spent the past year and a half working full time with them and now we work together on a part-time basis. I couldn’t have a better team.

Nora and her buddy Judah (cutie from below videos) chatted it up on the drive down, and once we arrived Nora took off. She’s never seen so much open land! She ate a little mulch, got a fire ant bite, and chased bubbles across the grass… and it was all so fun to her. She’s about to crash in this picture, but the huge lens and flash are fascinating her.

I got to babysit sweet Judah yesterday. I didn’t know babies could be as laid back as he is! He was a joy. This video is the end of they day. They’ve played hard all day and seem to just be enjoying each others company. So cute and sweet.
